Load capacity & stress resistance
The table can hold up to 10 kg (22 lbs). Make sure to distribute the weight evenly. Do not lean on, sit on, or pull yourself up with Frunkly. If you bump into the table top, make sure it is still properly secured.
Cargo securing
The operator of the vehicle is responsible for the cargo as well as properly securing it. The base frame is secured to the frunk using the screws with handles. The table top is secured against movement due to its shape.
Risk of injury
When using the hinges, there is an increased risk of injury to hands and fingers due to pinching. Therefore, be careful when opening and closing the hinges.

What's included in the Maker Kit?
The Maker Kit includes the complete hinge system with mounting hardware, installation guide and all necessary screws - you just need your own table surface.
What tabletop is recommended?
We recommend: 70x40 cm, 12 mm birch plywood, double-coated with lacquer. This matches the tabletop we supply with the Frunkly LT. Make sure your tabletop is compatible with the mounting system and can fold using the hinges.
How heavy can the tabletop be?
The hinges easily support tabletops up to 3 kg. The maximum total load capacity is 10 kg - including the tabletop and everything on it.
Does the Maker Kit fit Model 3 and Model Y?
Yes! The Maker Kit is available for both Tesla Model 3 (all variants including Highland) and Model Y (including Juniper). Simply select your model when ordering. Important: The 2025 Standard variants of Model 3 and Model Y have a smaller frunk with a different design and are unfortunately not compatible.
How long does installation take?
Installation takes only 5-10 minutes - no special tools or prior knowledge needed. A step-by-step guide with pictures is included.
Which Tesla models are not compatible?
The 2025 Standard variants of Model 3 and Model Y have a smaller frunk with a different design - these are unfortunately not compatible. Model 3 before July 2020 is also not supported. All other variants (Long Range, Performance, Premium 2025, Standard Range 2020-2024) are compatible.
